Over 2,100 jobs available in Europe through the Eures network

The Eures network has over 2,100 jobs available for in several European states. About 900 of these jobs are in Spain, mostly in agriculture, while countries like the Netherlands or Germany have about 300 available jobs each, according to the National Workforce Agency (ANOFM).

There are 954 jobs available in Spain: 950 unqualified agriculture workers, 3 technicians, 1 power plant operator.

In the Netherlands there are 341 job openings, as follows: 100 greenhouse workers, 70 merchandise handlers, 60 warehouse workers, 30 workers in manufacturing dog and cat food, 20 operators of food product manufacturing equipment, 15 pepper pickers, 10 fruit pickers, 10 gardening workers, 5 mechanical engineers, 5 flower pickers and sorters, 5 flower bulb processor, 2 sous-chefs, 1 carpenter, 1 insulation fitters, etc.

315 other jobs are available in Germany: 51 electricians, 51 welders, 50 plumbers, 50 locksmiths, 43 baggage handlers, 13 truck drivers, 9 waiters, 7 housekeepers, 4 mechanics for sanitary, heating and air conditioning installations, 4 mechatronists, 3 chefs, 3 electric technicians, 3 bus drivers, 2 bakers, 2 butchers, 2 hotel personnel, 1 bartender, etc.

In Austria, there are 300 total job openings: 100 chefs, 100 housekeepers, 100 waiters. 92 jobs are also available in Latvia, including 20 plumbers, 20 locksmiths, 20 auto mechanics, 20 plasterers, 20 house painters, 10 road constructors, while Poland is looking for 50 workers: 25 welders, 10 carpenters, 10 bricklayers, 5 construction workers.

In Norway, 23 jobs are available: 10 tinkers, 10 auto mechanics, 2 hairdressers, 1 senior app developer; Malta is looking for 10 technicians and 7 ELV installers, while the UK has 17 openings: 10 social workers, 5 MIG welders, 1 deputy manager, 1 home care coordinator.

Individuals who are interested can see job offers on the Eures website or can go to the local workforce agency branch to speak to an Eures counselor.
