Office Barista, one of the main players on the local Coffee Service Services (OCS) market, takes over Waterpure Office Systems, becoming one of the largest water, coffee and tea solution integrators for office space.

Waterpure Office Systems is one of the main players on the local water service solutions market for companies, an exclusive distributor of Waterlogic International, the world leader in office water solutions. The company offers the most innovative water filtration and purification systems, patented by Waterlogic and certified by the most renowned industry organizations.

Office Barista ended in 2017 with sales of EUR 750,000 and now, at the time of the takeover of Waterpure, estimates for the current year a double turnover of EUR 1.5 million. Moreover, as a result of the growing demand for coffee, the forecast for 2019 points to EUR 2.5 million.

At the same time, the new CEO of the company is Mihai Sugureanu, who in the past 10 years has headed sales and marketing departments at Austral, UPC and Whirpool. The goal of the new CEO is to support the company’s growth strategy and expand services outside the country.

Office Barista services are represented by specific coffee, water and tea subscriptions. Packages include all aspects related to the proper functioning of the equipment – installation, maintenance, replacement and securing of the related consumables.

Office Barista brings together three business lines, including:

  • Drinking water solutions for office space through the partnership with Waterlogic, the global leader in the field;
  • Solutions for the sale and delivery of coffee for office spaces, through the partnership with Franke, the global leader in the coffee brewing equipment segment;
  • Tea sales and delivery solutions for office spaces, through the partnership with the English at Teapigs.

Office Barista has national coverage, serving over 350 medium and large companies in all regions of the country. The largest share of clients is represented by the big economic centers – Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara and Iasi, where the highest density of office buildings is located.

Water and coffee subscriptions account for 50 percent of the sales share, and tea-based tea supplies, recently introduced into the range of services, will generate 10 percent of total sales this year, according to company estimates.

The objectives of the company in the short and medium term are to strengthen the presence in the markets of Iasi, Cluj, Brasov and Timisoara, as well as the expansion in the region, in a first phase in Bulgaria, Poland and Moldova, where the local Barista customers are present with subsidiaries. The company also aims to expand on HoReCa and retail segments. Intellectus anglų kalbos dienos stovykla vaikams

“The accelerated growth has come from the increasing popularity of the concept of office well-being, where we have the concept of Freshly Ground Coffee inside the company. To this we also add our partnerships with Waterlogic and Franke, global leaders in their fields, which ensures the best quality of the finished product that reaches the final customer cup or glass. We are on the right track and we have all the confidence that we will meet our financial and expansion objectives,” says Mihai Sugureanu, CEO of Office Barista.
