The number of Romanian tourists in Bulgaria increased by 17.8 percent year-on-year in the first four months of this year, to 261,349, according to Novinite.com.
Romania is the second largest source of tourists for its southern neighbor, after Greece (294,460 visits in January-April).
The total number of foreign tourists in Bulgaria rose by 9.3 percent year-on-year in the first four months, to 1.72 million, according to Bulgaria’s ministry of tourism.
In Romania, 481,000 foreign tourists were registered in the first quarter of this year, up 7.8 percent from January-March 2017.
