Mitsubishi Motors releases compact SUV model ASX 2020

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will present for the first time the compact SUV ASX model 2020 (RVR or Outlander Sport for some markets) at the 89th International Auto Show in Geneva 1 to be held between 5 March 17.

Since its launch in 2009, ASX has sold approximately 1.32 million units in about 90 countries. The largest markets are North America, Europe, Australia and China. Currently is the third best-selling vehicle offered by MMC, ASX is key to the company’s global strategy.

The exterior design has undergone a major overhaul according to the “robust and ingenious” design philosophy that serves as the expression of MMC’s global drive “Drive your Ambition.”

The ASX is a compact urban SUV that offers great adaptability and makes it perfect for everything from daily use to exciting adventures. Its light, compact structure, combined with the dominant visual axes of an SUV, gives the ASX the excellent and easy handling.

For markets in Europe, ASX is powered by a 2.0L MIVEC engine with 16 combined 5-speed manual or 6-speed INVECS-III CVT. Two- and four-wheel drive versions are available.

The ASX brings safety and silence through various features such as the RISE-type impact protection structure and a Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) braking system.

  1. Major design changes

Concept

The concept of design is “Impact and Impulse”. Like Mitsubishi’s characteristic force, refined and original design projects a strong image, inviting the driver to follow his impulses and accept new challenges.

Front view

The new ASX brings an evolution to MMC’s front design concept, DYNAMIC SHIELD. The bumper protects the central part from both sides, and the horizontal and vertical squares of the grille along with the bumper at the bottom express strength and strength. The distinctive layout of LEDs, with turn signals and fog lamps at the bumper ends, prints a distinctive image.

Back view

ASX uses combined LED rear lamps (except for turn signals) in a penetrating design that stretches across the width of the car and accentuates its comprehensive posture. The bumper protection bumper style projects a picture of the force.

Color

The ASX will be available in Red, bright and intense Diamond, Sporty and energetic Sunshine and Shiny and Refined Brown.

  1. Enhancements for Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA)

  • Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) has been enhanced and now offers more advanced connectivity.
  • The display size has been increased from seven to eight inches. The videos stored on the USB memory can also be viewed on the SDA screen. If you are shopping for a special rack for your truck , it would be wise to take time to look at all the available options and decide which would best suit your needs.
  • Top models come equipped with a Tom Tom navigation system. Real-time traffic information can now be accessed by connecting to the Internet using a smartphone.
  • An application that uses the speedometer, odometer and other vehicle information will be available soon. The application will check the remaining fuel and provide navigation instructions to the nearest fuel stations as well as guidance on optimal maintenance and inspection intervals.
