For the next two years, Valentin Suciu, creative partner Jazz, is the new president of the Art Directors Club Romania. He has alongside him in the new Directors Committee – Costin Bogdan (group creative director McCann Worldgroup Romania) and Diana Papuc (freelance art director).
“We will continue ADC Romania’s projects and we will add others that will help establishing a new excellence standard in advertising and design that would be understood and validated both by the advertising people, as well as the marketing people,” said Suciu.
The new board president, celebrates this year 20 years since his first job as copywriter, at Graffiti BBDO. Before entering the advertising world, Suciu intersected with the photography and documentary film worlds. Later, he created his experience by working in multinationals such as the legendary agency OFC (D’Arcy), where he won the first Romanian Gold at the TV category at Golden Drum. He has been an entrepreneur since 2012 and in 2016, Jazz, the agency he co-founded won the first Gold Lion in Cannes, for an independent Romanian agency.
The vision of the actual board is completed by the 10 years’ worth of experience of Costin Bogdan in advertising. From commercials for car launches, to concerts and injectors, payments with poetry and surprises with Gianluigi Buffon, he has experimented a large part of the advertising work in Romania at Graffiti BBDO, Odyssey, Ogilvy and McCann.
Papuc’s contribution completes the image of ADC’s leadership in the following two years to come. Won 12 years ago by the advertising’s power of telling stories, she has always kept a special place in her heart for illustration and branding. She has won awards at national and international festivals, most recently at Cannes Lions and Golden Drum.
