The finalists of the 15th edition of Effie Awards were announced last night in a dedicated gala that took place at Fire Club. The event was presented by Maria Predoiu, IAA Romania president and Mihai Trandafir, president of the Organization Committee of Effie 2018 and managing director Universal McCann Romania.
18 agencies and companies were nominated in the competition’s 26 categories: Cohn & Jansen JWT, Fabryo Corporation, GMP Advertising, Graffiti BBDO, Graffiti PR, Grey Romania, Headvertising, Jazz Communication, Kubis Interactive, Leo Burnett Group/Publicis One Romania, McCann Worldgroup Romania, Mullen Lowe Profero Romania, Mullen Lowe Romania, Nurun/Publicis One Romania, Publicis Romania/Publicis One Romania, Three, United Media Services, WEBSTYLER.
The finalist brands are: Aptamil, Aqua Carpatica, Ariel, Auchan, Avon, Banca Transilvania, Cris-Tim, Coca-Cola, Corso, Digenzym, Enel, Grolsch, ING Bank, Kaufland, KFC, Lenor, Lidl, MagicHome, Mirinda, National Football Team, Noroc, Orange, Pampers, Patria Bank, Provident, Rompetrol, Savana, Sprite, Storia.ro, Taco Bell, Tazovsky, Telekom, Timisoreana, Unicredit Bank, Unisol, Visa, Zizin.
The jury in the first evaluation round was formed of 60 marketing, communication and research specialists. In the second round of judging, other 60 industry seniors will choose the this year’s winner.
The Finalists’ Gala hosted also another edition of Effie Talk, during which the last year’s Grand Effie winners: J&B – represented by Raluca Sava, brand manager J&B in 2017 and The Hub – represented by Dinu Panescu, creative director & partner talked about the success of the campaign „Blending Spirits”. The campaign was last year’s Gold Effie winner in the category Alcoholic Beverages – Others, Silver Effie at Engaged Communities and Grand Effie 2017.
