Mastercard supports Pago app launch on Romanian market

Payments technology firm Mastercard supports the launch of the Pago app which allows the payment of all the monthly bills, with any type of bank card, from one account.

„Launching Pago is a very important step for us, considering the fact that it comes after a period of almost nine months in which we tested and improved all the app’s functionalities,” said Adrian Cighi, co-founder Pago.

“The creation of efficient and handy payment experiences is an objective that is part of the Mastercard strategy and Pago successfully answers this goal,” said Gabriel Ghita, VP, business development, Central and Eastern Europe, Mastercard.

The app also allows the fast recharge, at competitive costs, of the prepaid mobile phone cards and the vignette payment.
