Marc Bortun named creative director of Rusu+Bortun Brand Growers

Starting this month, Marc Bortun, co-owner of Rusu+Bortun, becomes the agency’s new creative director.

After 10 years since Rusu+Bortun’s start on the local advertising market, during which the agency passed through several growing and maturing stages, the creative team that founded the agency units its forces in order to take the company to the next level.

“The most important thing is for the challenges to be clear, in order for us to find the right solutions. And that because for us, as an agency, it is not enough to make things look pretty. They need to be strategic as well. And to convince the clients, to solve the problems for which they are investing us with trust, no matter if they are entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs. To be able to have that harmonious relationship in which we have trust and respect between each other. To deserve ourselves,” said the new creative director.

With a bachelor degree from the University of Arts in Bucharest, painting, Bortun entered the advertising world in 1998 as designer/ art director at Millenium Communications. He has also worked as art director in several local and international agencies. He has been co-owner Rusu+Bortun Brand Growers since June 2008. During all these years he won creativity awards in local and international competitions such as ADOR, AdPrint, Effie, ADC Awards, Rebrand 100, Fibra and he has been a member of ADC Romania, since 2015.

“We want more from Rusu+Bortun and that implies skin in the game, which comes with motivation, not only with responsibility. For me it has been a big chance to have Marc close all these years. I am sure that this is how it will be for our colleagues and the agency’s clients as well,” said Catalin Rusu, chief creative partner & CEO of Rusu+Bortun.
