Grapefruit agency organizes World Information Architecture Day 2018 in Bucharest, on February 24, at Qreator by IQos. The event – initiated by Information Architecture Institute from US and happening yearly – takes place worldwide, in 56 locations from 25 countries, on five continents.

This year’s edition will take place under the umbrella “IA for Good”. The Romanian event will reunite those with a passion for digital and informational architecture and will see some of the best specialists on the local market sharing their know-how.

“WIAD is an event we are very fond of and, for sure, the participants will get valuable information that they can apply successfully in their projects,” said Georgiana Dragomir, managing director of Grapefruit.

The speakers of the Bucharest event are Cosmin Nastasa – managing director Edge2Performant, Catalin Stanciu – lead UX architect Deutsche Bank, Horia Velicu – head of Innovation Lab BRD, Ovidiu Moisanu – general manager Cima Data Analytics and Vlad Tausance, strategist Argo, but also members from Grapefruit team (Alecsandru Grigoriu, Victor Keller, Andrei Balanica).

Ever since the first edition in Romania, WIAD touched key topics such as “Designing Structures for Understanding” (2012),  The difference between design and information architecture (2013), The manner in which the information architecture can influence in a positive way the quality of the interaction between the users and the websites, with the purpose of determining the attitude changes (2014), “Architecting Happiness” (2015), “Information Everywhere, Architects Everywhere” (2016), “Information strategy and structure” (2017).
