Gheorghe Fodoreanu, head of Invitation Romania Travel, says that the development of highways will offer a boost to Romania’s tourism industry.
“The problem is the direct flights because a lot of very attractive cities are not directly linked to the rest of Europe. The highway project will change everything, in my opinion, by linking Budapest-Bucharest-Constanta. The number of tourists is climbing every year, 12-14 percent, and last year was the most exceptional. I won’t live long enough to see it, but I project a Romania with 20 million tourists, meaning one tourist per habitant like in other cities of Europe,” said Fodoreanu in an interview.
