President Klaus Iohannis will meet on Tuesday with ambassadors of EU member states accredited in Romania.
The event will be hosted by the Bulgarian Embassy, the country that holds the rotating presidency of the EU council.
“On this backdrop, president Klaus Iohannis will underline his strong commitment to the rule of law, the consolidation of the independence of the judiciary and the continuation of the fight against corruption,” said the Presidential Administration in a statement.
The president will also talk about the future budget of the EU and Romania’s plan to join Schengen space.
Romania will hold the rotating presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2019.
