Bill Cosby, a once-beloved actor and comedian who has been accused by dozens of women of having sexually assaulted them over the years, has been found guilty of drugging and molesting an acquaintance in 2004, the Guardian reports.

Cosby, now 80 years old, faces a possible maximum sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison.

Cosby “stood up and erupted” as a reaction to the verdict, but only after jurors left the courtroom, according to reports. After the prosecution asked the judge to revoke Cosby’s bail because they believed he was a flight risk, Cosby stood up and yelled at the prosecutor. The Judge ruled that Cosby would not be allowed to leave his home.

A year ago, the previous trial ended in a mistrial due to a deadlocked jury. This time, the jury reached a verdict in less than two days.

Cosby’s attorney said that he plans to appeal: “We are very disappointed by the verdict. We don’t think Mr. Cosby’s guilty of anything and the fight is not over,” he said.

Hours after the verdict, several universities withdrew honorary degrees that had been awarded to Bill Cosby over the years.
