The industrial equipment market has matured in recent years with companies looking for better machines, more versatile ones, even if it means to pay more, according to Bergerat Monnoyeur, Caterpillar products dealer in Romania.

“We are seeing a more mature market in recent years, both private companies and public sector entities tend to strategically plan, make meaningful investments and seek work across the region to harness equipment with increased productivity. With a market share of over 20 percent and EUR 60 million turnover in Romania, Bergerat Monnoyeur is still a market leader in the field of construction machinery and equipment. I can say that the Romanian infrastructure market is becoming more and more settled, more interested in technology and to cover the lack of staff with productivity. We do not want to sell in any way, but we are interested in educated clients, those who want to make the best use of their investments. In addition, we support market development and operator training that we make through the Operators’ School,” said Liviu Neagu, general manager of Bergerat Monnoyeur Romania and the Republic of Moldova, adding that Caterpillar 2019 Roadshow promoted products that can make the difference through increased productivity.

Bergerat Monnoyeur, 28-year-old Cat dealer in Romania, presented in the Roadshow an extensive range of machines and adviced on choosing the right equipment. The event in Mogosoaia, ending this year roadshow, showed the Next Generation – Cat 301.6 / 301.8 mini-excavators, designed to provide customers with enhanced performance, versatility, safety, operator comfort and accessibility in small spaces. The models feature a host of modern features such as joysticks, cruise control, Bluetooth LCD monitor and hinged cab for easy access to service points. They are designed to provide customers with enhanced performance, versatility, safety, operator comfort and accessibility in the smallest possible packages for 1-2 tonne machines.

“The new Cat Next Generation mini excavators are truly exceptional machines and we are convinced they have the power to redefine the rules of the construction environment. An extremely important detail about them is to minimize the time needed to perform revisions or repairs, which primarily benefit users. Practically, in this way, they will pay less for maintenance operations that will be carried out more quickly, while also reducing the dead times caused by these interventions. This intelligent design, together with their top efficiency and outstanding performance, make them the best choice for small-scale equipment,” said Neagu.

Besides the mini-excavators, Bergerat Monnoyeur presented the Cat 336 GC excavator, equipped with integrated Cat Connect technology, which can increase operating efficiency by up to 45 percent compared to conventional leveling operations and can increase fuel efficiency with up to 20 percent compared to previous models.

The Cat Product Link telematic system collects data from the machine – any type, any brand – data, such as location, engine on / off, working hours, fuel consumption and diagnostic code alerts. The novelty is the introduction of the PL161 to track the operating hours and the location of the working tools. This information is available to the owner through a secured website, Cat VisionLink, at ISO standards. Cat App, the industry’s first application, is designed for remote access to telematic data – tracking machine operating hours, locating, receiving diagnostic codes, and managing maintenance directly from your mobile phone without starting computer.

After making important strides over the past few years to get as close as possible to customers, to understand their needs and to provide solutions for their business development, Caterpillar has proposed in 2019 a new “Let’s Do the Work”. Under this slogan, the manufacturer basically brings together customers, distributors and employees into a single community of action people who are passionate about bringing real, real change to the world. It is a way of connecting with all customers – small, large, new and traditional.
