Deloitte Romania announces new Audit and Assurance partner

Deloitte Romania has announced that Peter MacDonald has joined the firm as Audit and Assurance Partner to lead the Financial Services Industry Audit and Assurance practice.

MacDonald has provided audit and advisory services to a wide range of financial institutions, both in South Africa and abroad. His audit experience covers major commercial bank groups, local branches of international banks and smaller local banks as well as stockbrokers, investment funds and lease financing.

His advisory experience in banking and treasury related projects includes implementing new accounting standards, investigating bank failures, designing risk-based capital models, and several other risk areas. He has also served as treasurer of a major listed mining house, risk manager of a niche bank, and financial director of a retail supermarket group.
