Mobility firm Autonom has announced that it would join entrepreneurial education project Upgrader starting in May and take over the community’s entire activity by hosting future events and creating a space to help entrepreneur reach their full potential. The first event hosted by the new team will be a new edition of the “New Generation of Entrepreneurs”, on May 30 at Mindspace Victoriei.

The Autonom team will take the Upgrader experience further and continue to offer its members new entrepreneurial education resources, useful information and lessons from well-known business figures.

“As experienced Romanian entrepreneurs, we are interested in the country’s entrepreneurial success. That is why we’re spending as much time as possible to support entrepreneurs who are creating sustainable businesses and helping develop the local business environment,” said Marius Stefan, co-founder of Autonom.

His brother Dan Stefan, who is also a co-founder of Autonom, added: “Another very important concern of ours is education: our own, our colleagues’ and that of young people in our communities. We found in Upgrader a platform that supports entrepreneurial education, so we thought it was a good idea to join their initiative and help it grow.”

The “New Generation of Entrepreneurs” events began in 2016, when the Upgrader team invited established entrepreneurs to share lessons learned in their experience. Since then, there have been 25 such events and they have gathered 2,600 participants. In order to offer even more resources for business development, the community has also created other events that bring together entrepreneurs and help grow local businesses, such as Upgrader Academy, Roundtable, Upgrader Mastermind, Barbecue Business Networking or Upgrader Arena.

“We are glad that the Stefan brothers believed in our mission and values and decided to get involved in creating a good environment to develop new generations of entrepreneurs. They were among the first established entrepreneurs to get involved in the project ever since the beginning. We believe in the positive impact Romanian entrepreneurs can bring to society and we trust that in the following years, Upgrader will become a supporter for them at the national level,” said Constantin Stanciu and Valentin Ion, the founders of Upgrader.
