Low-cost airline Wizz Air will introduce a new route between Bucharest and Memmingen/Munchen, Germany, which is also operated by Tarom, Blue Air and Lufthansa.
Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the largest airlines in Romania, having been present on the local market since 2012.
The company flies on 141 routes from Romania to 30 countries.
Wizz Air was founded in 2003 and operates a 100-plane Airbus fleet, on over 600 routes from 25 bases in Central and Eastern Europe. The company estimates that it will reach a fleet of about 300 planes by 2026 and transport 100 million passengers per year.
