Ryanair has announced that 190 of its 2,400 flights scheduled for this Friday have been cancelled due to strike action by unions in Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy and Germany.

The cancellations will affect around 30,000 passengers, who have been notified through text and email.

Ryanair staff are striking due to issues with working conditions, while Ryanair blames the “unnecessary customer disruptions” on agitation from competitor airlines, according to the BBC.

The airline’s workers outside Ireland are protesting the fact that they have been employed under Irish legislation, which they say creates insecurity for them and blocks access to state benefits in their own countries.

Employees say they receive their pay in Irish bank accounts, which affects their credit rating at home. Any queries they have must be made to an Irish number, which is more expensive than a local call. Play Pin Up Casino online. Videoslots, pin-up girls in real games.

Ryanair says it will move to local contracts as quickly as possible next year, but with certain conditions in place.
