Air France has unveiled new cabins for long-haul flights, available exclusively onboard the Airbus A330 aircraft. The company offers a new passenger experience in the Business Booths (36 seats), Premium Economy (21 seats) and Economy (167 seats) categories. By 2020, 15 aircraft will be refurbished through a total investment of EUR 140 million.

The first flight equipped with these cabins, which operated on the Paris Charles de Gaulle – Accra route (Ghana), took off on February 3, 2019.

By the end of the winter season, Romanian passengers will be able to enjoy these cabins on their flights to Accra (Ghana), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) and Houston (USA). Starting with the summer season of 2019, the new Airbus A330 will operate progressively towards Accra (Ghana), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Cotonou (Benin), Lagos (Nigeria), Niamey (Niger), Bengaluru and Delhi and Dallas (USA).

Business: quiet and harmony

The new Business chairs, adapted to the size of the Airbus A330, offer a unique experience. Completely redesigned, the seat turns into a 2-meter long and 57.1 centimeters wide bed for relaxing flights, so that passengers no longer have the jetlag issue. Passengers can opt for a higher degree of proximity when traveling with someone or for total intimacy, thanks to a sliding panel that separates the seats. A new HD screen with a width of more than 45 cm offers Business class clients over 1,400 hours of entertainment.

Premium Economy: ideal for long flights

In the Premium Economy cabin, relaxation and pleasure take over. Equipped with one of the widest chairs on the market, with a width of 48.5 cm, it slopes to 130° for the comfort of all passengers. The corridor has a width of 102 cm and the storage space has been supplemented. The booths have larger leg supports and a 33.7 cm HD screen.

The seat cushions and leather armrests have also been redesigned. They have become softer and bigger. Beyond relaxation and gourmet delights, each passenger has a personal electrical outlet and two USB ports as well as a wide range of entertainment options.

Economy class: plus comfort

The Economy seat has been changed for even more comfort. There is more space between armrests, ergonomic foam and 118 ° tilt for each seat, 79 cm for legs, bigger table, 29.4 cm LCD screen.

The Economy seat is equipped with a personal power outlet and a USB port that allows passengers to use electronic devices throughout the flight.

Passengers stay connected with Air France Connect

On board all Airbus A330 redesigned cabins, Air France offers the Wi-Fi Air France Connect option during the flight. Passengers can choose from the three Wi-Fi variants available for personal devices: smartphone, tablet, laptop.

Wi-Fi rates and benefits

This service allows passengers to send and receive free of charge messages from their favorite smartphone or tablet applications throughout the flight. Clients can also access www.airfrance.com and Air France to view and modify reservations, browse the Internet, browse or send emails.

The rates for this service are as follows:

– EUR 3 for the entire short-haul trip;

– From EUR 5 for the entire duration of the trip on average flights;

– EUR 8 for one hour or 18 euros for the entire duration of the trip on long-haul flights.

Air France passengers can also opt for “Pass for Streaming,” available on all long-haul flights. It offers the benefit of a high-speed Internet connection over the entire flight, for EUR 30.

The entire Air France fleet will be equipped with Air France CONNECT by the end of 2020.
