Biochem, the southeastern region leader of the local pesticides market uses SAP for business management

Biochem SRL is the market leader for the distribution of grains, pesticides and fertilizers to farmers in southeastern Romania, with a turnover that exceeds EUR 32 million.

The option for SAP for supported by the fact that SAP is the standard IT solution for the global chemicals industry. Out of the biggest 100 companies in this field, 90 use SAP for the management and development of their businesses.

SAP offers Biochem the complete IT application platform as the basis for an improvement of the current business management, but also provides multiple development opportunities for increasing productivity and enhancing the satisfaction of Biochem’s clients.

“In 2013 the company registered a 41 percent increase in turnover, and profit of RON 14.4 million.

At present, Biochem is carrying out an investment program aimed at increasing the production capacity and extending towards other business lines.

We have opted for SAP as it is a highly appreciated solution in the chemicals industry, in which we are active, and for Fair Value as we needed a local partner capable of implementing it in a short timeframe of just three and a half months,” said Iulia Andrei, the financial director of Biochem.

Punctually, Biochem aimed to optimize the management and controls process, of the overall activity of the company, to streamline the reporting process both at an operational and strategic level, to increase process automatization, as well as to reduce errors triggered by faulty operations of the IT system.

Another reason for which representatives of Biochem chose SAP solutions is the proven growth in market value of companies using SAP.
