Road traffic between Chitila and Carrefour Militari in Bucharest will be ceased starting on August 2 and ending on August 31, as the National Company of Highways and National Roads in Romania informs.
Thus, automobile access will not be allowed between sector DN7 (the DN7 intersection with the Bucharest North Beltway in Chitila) and the intersection between highway A1 with Bucharest Beltway (Carrefour Militari area). The situation occurred due to the infrastructure works for connecting the new passage on the North Beltway with the Chitila passage. August was chosen for these works due to studies showing that it is one of the least trafficked periods of the year for this area.
Authorities recommend alternative routes for:
- For DN7 – A 1: the deviated route through the Bucharest Beltway (Centura Bucuresti – CB), in the direction of the CB intersection with DN1A, C.B.. with DN1, C.B. with DN2, C.B. with DN3, C.B. with A2, C.B. with DN4, C.B. with DN5, C.B. with DN6, C.B. with A2;
- For A1 – DN7: the deviated route through the Bucharest Beltway (Centura Bucuresti – CB), in the direction of the following intersections: C.B. with DN6, C.B with DN 5, C.B. with DN4, C.B. with A2, C.B with DN3, C.B with DN 2, C.B with DN 1, C.B with DN1A, on DN1A up to the intersection with DN7.
