The 14th edition of Business Review Awards Gala, BR’s flagship event that recognizes outstanding achievements in the business community, will take place on March 4. We want to highlight the 14 categories in which the independent jury will select the winners for their exceptional performance in 2018.

Best Financial Partner for SMEs is a new category in this year’s BR Awards. The category awards the efforts made by financial institutions in their endeavor to improve the SMEs sector in Romania, considering that SMEs represent the driving force for any economy.

How are the nominees judged?

The jury takes into account the following criteria before making a decision:

The financial support offered for supporting the businesses of SMEs (EUR mln offered as banking loans);
Types of businesses (their sector of activity) financed and their impact on the development of the local economy;
The importance of innovation in selecting the SMEs that will be financed throughout a banking loan;
The importance of the sectors where SMEs are active for the local economy.
