Looking for something to do this weekend in Bucharest? BR has prepared a list of the best events happening between June 21 and 23 in the Romanian capital: 

 

European Film Festival – until June 23 @ various locations

The European Film Festival continues in Bucharest until Sunday, with dozens of films, documentaries and shorts, for adults and children. The festival takes place at the following locations: Cinema Elvire Popesco, Cinema Muzeul Taranului, Cinema PRO, Cinemateca Eforie, the Hungarian Institute in Bucharest, the Czech Centre, Goethe-Institut, Instituto Cervantes, European Public Space.

Lord of the Dance – Dangerous Games – June 22 @ Arenele Romane

Dangerous Games is one of the most successful productions by dance company Lord of the Dance, which returns to Bucharest this weekend to delight the audience, for the first time on an outdoor stage. The show is produced by famous choreographer and director Michael Flatley, with music by composer Gerard Fahyho. It premiered in 2014 at London Palladium, followed by a worldwide tour.

VegFest 2019 – June 21-23 @ Casa Universitarilor

VegFest may be a vegan’s paradise, but you don’t necessarily have to be vegan in order to enjoy it – you’ll find delicious and healthy food, a vegan market, music, workshops and conferences, for adults and children. It is the place to be for anyone who’s interested in having a lower carbon footprint, as well as issues like sustainability, recycling, eco-friendly behaviour, and animal welfare.

Bucharest Turkish Festival – June 21-23 @ Titan Park

If you like Turkish culture, you’ll have the opportunity to experience it with all its traditional elements like the fanfare or whirling dervish dancers, delicious foods and drinks and all kinds of Turkish crafts and customs.

TIFF Unlimited – June 21-23 @ Verde Stop Arena

Share some good music and TIFF films with your friends under the moonlight! Every night this weekend, at Verde Stop Arena, music starts at 8 pm, with bands like The Mono Jacks, Robin and The Backstabbers, Dimitri’s Bats and Byron, and from 10 pm onwards there will be two screenings of TIFF 2019 films.
