Looking for something to do this weekend in Bucharest? BR has prepared a list of the best events taking place in the Romanian capital.

 

B-FIT in the Street – Bucharest International Street Theatre Festival – July 12-14 @ various central locations

The 11th edition of the Bucharest Street Theatre Festival’s agenda will include award-winning shows, famous street theatre companies and the first free-running acts to ever come to Romania, getting to a total of over 60 acts by 200 artists. Festival locations include: University Square, George Enescu Square, Revolution Square, Odeon Theatre Plaza, Calea Victoriei, Old Town – St Anton Square, Roma Square, Franceza Street, Lipscani Street, Gabroveni Street.

Wine and Street Food Festival – July 12-14 @ Parliament Palace

The biggest wine and street food festival in Romania will have both an indoor and an outdoor area. Visitors will be able to enjoy free wine tastings, the best food trucks, some of which will launch new products, chill-out music in the palace garden, kids’ playing areas, and other special activities. Tickets cost RON 15 for the Street Food area and RON 20 for the Wine area – but on Friday, entry is free for the Street Food area!

Romania-France Season 2019 – July 14 @ Carol Park

Celebrating the French National Day as well as the end of the Romania-France 2019 Season, Carol Park will host a concert with multiple artists from both countries, a spectacular fireworks show by Groupe F and a special gastronomic experience, with French and Romanian chefs working together. During the day, visitors will also see a street theatre show with actors from the Masca Theatre Company.

Copacul cu Carti (Book Tree) – until August 4 @ Cismigiu Park

Every day until August 4, from 5 pm – 10 pm Monday-Friday and 11 am – 10 pm Saturday-Sunday, Copacul cu Carti invites you to rediscover the pleasures of reading outdoors. During the weekends, there will also be workshops for children, where they can learn to make various fun objects, many from recycled materials. Every Sunday and Saturday, starting at 8 pm, there will be live music sessions, while Discovery Romania will screen episodes of its “Expedition Unknown” show every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 pm.

Bucharest Sneaker Festival – July 13-14 @ Spatiul M60

You should definitely check out this event if you like wearing a nice pair of sneakers! The coolest sneaker & streetwear shops will be there, and there will also be giveaways, good pizza, beer, and music.
